Women's Data Day workshop - July 18th
Le Wagon Women's Data Day is a full morning and afternoon of coding workshops dedicated to all women who want to gain data skills. If you are interested or know women who want to discover Data Science, this is the place! Our team of teachers will teach you the basics of data science to help you be more efficient in your day to day activity.
By the end of the day, you’ll:
✔️ Know how to setup a database and query structured data with SQL
✔️ Grasp the concepts of Python and experience working as a data analyst
✔️ Understand tangible tools & techniques behind the Big Data hype
9:00 | Welcome and Setup
Arrive early to get your laptop setup and say hello to your coding buddies for the day.
9:30 - 12:30 | SQL Sprint
A key skill every Data worker should have is talking to the database, and one of the main languages to do that is SQL. In this workshop, you will learn how a typical database is structured from real-world examples and you will have a chance to "ask the database questions" yourself.
14:00 - 17:30 | Python & Data Analytics Sprint
Big Data, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, those are the words you now hear daily on the news. Behind the hype and the buzzwords lies tools & techniques that can be grasped by anyone. This course will cover the basics of the Python programming language and will dive into the daily tasks of a Data Analyst. The goal is to quickly dive into business cases and learn from real-life datasets.

Share with other learners and our instructors your experience after one-day learning and coding.
Each workshop will start with a 1-hour lecture to introduce the core concepts. You will then be onboarded on Le Wagon e-learning platform and access a sum-up of key notions as well as exercises to keep practicing after the workshop.
There are no pre-requisites for these workshops. Just bring a laptop with charger!
